You’re Suffering A Panic Attack – How Do You Know?

Anxiety attacks, or panic attacks as they are more or less the same thing, are on the increase. Who knows whether it’s our modern more stressful way of life or not. Still, they are increasing and causing more and more people some serious grief.

Could you spot if you were having a panic or anxiety attack? Not a simple question to answer because symptoms can vary from the downright petrifying to almost unnoticeable. You may just feel a bit of a hot sweat. But you may also feel like your heart is bursting out of your chest.

I’m sure if you were having the latter symptoms you would be aware right now that you are having panic attacks and need help to stop them. But you could also be having mild symptoms and not even know it’s an anxiety related attack. Mild symptoms could be a sign that you are heading for something much worse sooner rather than later.

My wife suffered a bad panic attack while she was out driving our car. It wasn’t the fact she had suffered an attack that hit her worst, but the fact she could easily have hit and killed someone or maybe even herself. This type of situation just doesn’t warrant thinking about.

You’ve heard of panic attacks but do you really understand what one is? I know first hand it’s one of the scariest things to happen and it didn’t even happen to me! I happened to be in a car with my wife driving while she had an anxiety attack.

I sure wish we’d had the opportunity to know beforehand by taking an anxiety disorder symptoms test. Sadly we had to find out with a full blown attack.

I’m not lying when I say it was one of my scariest moments. I’m mid forties and I’ve never seen anything like the thing that my wife was in the grip of. “In the grip of” is about the right description. It was like invisible hands were trying to crush her.

Is there a reason we seem to be suffering more attacks in the modern day? There probably is and I’m sure science can explain it away in a thousand different ways. Regardless of cause, the serious of the condition remains for the sufferer.

We aren’t born as victims to panic disorders but they start somewhere & more often than not very suddenly.
